Making Integrity Report
DSI-certified professionals must act in accordance with the DSI Code of Conduct. Do you suspect foul play? If so, you can file an integrity report with DSI.
Ethical dilemmas occur in every organization. The best approach is to discuss them in time within your team or with your board. That way you avoid awkward situations and come to an informed decision together. But what if a situation goes beyond an internal discussion and potentially involves a violation of the DSI Code of Conduct? In that case, you can make a report to DSI.
What does acting with integrity mean?
Integrity goes beyond simply following the rules. It is about acting honestly, reliably and responsibly. That requires actively thinking about ethical dilemmas and making conscious choices. Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where laws and regulations offer no clear answer. Especially then it is important to take a stand and act according to the ten core principles of DSI.
DSI has ten core principles that help professionals make ethical choices. The DSI Code of Conduct forms the basis of these core principles and help create a transparent and honest financial sector. Every (Candidate) certified professional must adhere to the DSI Code of Conduct.

When do you make a report?
Not every dilemma is a violation of the DSI Code of Conduct. In many cases it is best to find a solution within your own organization. But if you suspect that a professional is not abiding by the Code of Conduct, you can report it to DSI.
Sometimes reporting to DSI is not the right route. For example, if you have a complaint about a financial services provider, you can go to Kifid. Does it concern a claim for damages? Then the civil court is the appropriate body. DSI Discipline only handles cases related to the DSI Code of Conduct and cannot award damages.
How does a report to DSI work?
A report can be submitted at juridischezaken@dsi.nl or by mail to:
DSI Foundation
t.a.v. M. van der Lecq
Beursplein 5
1012 JW Amsterdam
DSI assesses whether the report falls within the scope of disciplinary law. If so, an investigation starts in which all parties involved are heard. The DSI Disciplinary Committee then determines whether a violation has occurred and may impose a sanction.
Can I report anonymously?
All reports are treated confidentially, but completely anonymous reporting is not possible. This is because the professional involved has the right to defend themselves.
