On this page you can read how DSI accredits trainers and what the conditions are. You will gain insight into the accreditation process, the criteria you must meet and how you can apply for accreditation. So you know exactly what is involved to be recognized as a trainer within the DSI system.
How DSI accredits educators.
DSI has developed a method for certified professionals in the financial sector to update their knowledge and skills annually. Since 2020, this allows them to remain demonstrably permanently competent, which for many is a legal requirement and therefore a prerequisite for DSI certification. In doing so, DSI also helps employers comply with European legislation on professional competence for financial professionals, as laid down in the ESMA guidelines.
Accredited offerings and learning objectives by year
Accredited programs allow employers and certificants to choose from the available offerings. Below is an overview of learning objectives by year for the Continuing Professional Education program.
DSI monitors quality
DSI ensures the quality and content of the programs by determining the topics each year. These are compiled by various DSI advisory committees consisting of specialists from the industry.
The independent DSI Accreditation Commission accredits training institutions that meet the specified requirements. Internal courses developed by employers that meet the accreditation requirements may also qualify. The commission conducts periodic evaluations to ensure quality.
Training institutions are cordially invited to submit their programs for accreditation to DSI. An overview of accredited providers can be found here. Below you will find the required documentation for the accreditation of the DSI PE Program.
